using a cheap magnifying glass i was able to create abstraction of my subject’s bodies. i interviewed my models, asking which parts of their bodies they were most uncomfortable with. i then photographed those areas. while an average magnifying glass would have amplified these perceived imperfections, mine created mystery and intrigue.
